Last week, my family and I began our week-long trip at The Enclaves of Shadow Ridge. This vacation club, owned by Marriott, is located in the heart of Desert Palms, CA. Upon entering The Enclaves, you immediately find yourself in a *whole new world* (ha!).
The place is equipped with several amenities such as pools (around six of them!), fitness centers, tennis courts, mini movie theater, putting areas, a golf course, a driving range, and grilling areas. The idea of Marriott's vacation club is to simply escape the busy streets and just relax.
That actually does look like a brand new world to me. All that sand and cacti! Sure we have desert in Australia, but not with cacti. Sand and cacti are a magical pairing! I'm totally swooning right now.

I guess California's lucky to have a pretty looking desert; although I'm not a big fan of this state.
