Definitely a late post, but Chris and I reached our three year mark a week ago! Also, I absolutely love this photo of us.

Chris and I finally made a trip to Disneyland and California Adventure yesterday! It was really nice to be back after three months of avoiding the tourists and the huge crowds gathering at the park. Surprisingly, the park was a bit empty - which meant, little to no lines at our favorite rides.
We started off our day by grabbing lunch from our favorite food stand in California Adventure - Corndog Castle! I kid not, their corn dogs are the absolutely best. After, we got on California Screamin' and Hollywood Tower of Terror. We spent the rest of our day at Disneyland where we got in line to get photos with characters and rode the Disney Tram around the park.
It was a great day and it was nice to finally be back at the park. The park's beginning to put up their Halloween designs and I'm really looking forward to that since Halloween is one of my favorite events.
Disneyland Tuesday
Tuesday is my favorite day out of the week. Why? Tuesdays are the days I get to see my boyfriend! Today, we did something out of the usual and ended up on the driving range. I've been golfing since I was twelve and my boyfriend has only gone several times, so I was his personal coach for today. It was an absolute blast despite being really hot out.
After we finished up at the driving range, we headed to Red Robin (one of our usual spots) to grab lunch. I absolutely love Red Robin's chicken wrap - it's so good. Plus, they just opened their 500th store somewhere across the United States, so we ended up getting $5 off the check.
When that was over, we saw Guardians of the Galaxy. I didn't really expect much from that movie, but it turned out surprisingly good. It was funny and action-packed. Plus, it made me more excited for the second installment of the Avengers!
I had such a good day that I thought I'd write about it! That and I neglected this blog for the entire month of July. Oh well.

Under the Sun
Chris and I decided to travel back in time into the Renaissance Era! Little back story - Chris and i have seen billboards for the Renaissance Pleasure Faire way back in 2012 and every time we decide to go, the faire would be over or we went on the wrong day. That was not the case this year. I saw a coupon for the tickets on Amazon Local, bought them and boom, after two years, finally found ourselves at the faire!
The Renaissance Pleasure Faire was AMAZING. Everyone was just really into it, and if I wanted to know how a time machine worked, this faire would be the closest thing to it. On top of that, everyone was super friendly. Chris was forced into dressing up as a pirate because it was the only costume I already had.
We started off our day by getting some bratwursts (because, I am a hungry person). A little bit pricey, but they actually tasted really good - a lot like the bratwurst I had from my Washington trip the previous year.
After we ate, we went around the place and just looked at little shops, watched shows, and took in a bit of the jousting tournament.
Chris and I also discovered this amazing dessert called beignets!! We got the beignets with Nutella and it tasted heavenly. Okay, okay, I lie. It tastes a lot like your regular funnel cake with the powdered sugar, but the beignet looks better and more scrumptious. Plus, it was Chris’s first time trying Nutella. Win-win situation.
I highly recommend the Renaissance Pleasure Faire to anyone. It’s a unique and very enjoyable experience. It’s a bit pricey (and most shops only accept cash), but it’s totally understandable and just all out b r e a t h t a k i n g.
Hear ye, hear ye
Last Monday, Chris finally took me to Olive Garden and Dewar's!
Olive Garden - I've always wanted to go to this restaurant ever since I found out they offered a 2 for $20 lunch menu. However, when Chris and I got there, we ended up getting completely different things. Their chicken and gnocchi soup was amazing though. And their breadstick was beyond delicious (and oily!). I had the fettuccine alfredo with shrimp for my entree, but I had the noodles changed to cavatappi. Their entree was pretty filling but seriously, let me just go back to the breadsticks because they were AMAZING.
Dewar's - It's a candy shop which I think is local to Bakersfield. I've been to Farrell's and I expected Dewar's to be the same... It wasn't. Dewar's seemed to be more peaceful than Farrell's (but maybe being a Monday could've been a reason why). They only had a few selections of ice cream, from what I saw, and they were selling their own brand of chocolates and candies. Although I honestly just wanted ice cream on a cone, I ended up getting the "Tan and White" while Chris got the "Black and White".
The Tan and White was great, but it seemed too sweet for me. It was a mix of vanilla ice cream, marshmallow and caramel syrup. I'm not a huge fan of peanuts and the like so I ended up passing out on that. I do think that if I had gotten that extra topping, it may have made the entire thing less sweet.
Anyways, it was a great day, like always. Chris is one my favorite people in the world so any day with him is pretty great.
